Morning & First Look – Hotel Piran

Ajda and Christian’s wedding day started quietly at the seaside Hotel Piran, where soft light filtered through the windows overlooking the Adriatic. The couple got ready in separate rooms before sharing a private first look in the hotel’s winery – a beautiful, intimate space opened just for them. Their chemistry was effortless, and it set the tone for the rest of the day.

Afterwards, we explored the old town of Piran, stopping at hidden corners, the iconic pier, and the lighthouse for portraits. Locals smiled as we passed – it’s hard not to notice a couple that radiates such calm joy.

Ceremony & Celebration – Rooftop and Santomas Estate

Their rooftop ceremony at Hotel Piran overlooked the sea, with around 40 close family and friends from Slovenia, Austria, and beyond. The atmosphere was relaxed, emotional, and beautifully genuine – flower boys led the way, laughter filled the air, and congratulations followed as the sun began its slow descent over the Adriatic.

Santomas Estate Winery

After some ice cream and a few final portraits at the Walls of Piran, we drove towards Santomas Estate – a stunning vineyard property near Koper, where guests were already enjoying a wine tasting. As the couple arrived, everyone waved white handkerchiefs to welcome them. Christian opened a bottle of wine with a sword, and the evening unfolded in the warm glow of the Istrian sunset.

For me, it was a perfect day – natural, authentic, and filled with the quiet kind of emotion that makes you fall in love with weddings all over again.
