A few weeks before their wedding day, I met Anchi and Tobias in Maribor, Slovenia for a relaxed pre-wedding meetup and to do a bit of planning. Their excitement was contagious, and from the very beginning, I could tell their celebration would be filled with heartfelt details and unforgettable emotions. Their natural chemistry, kindness, and warmth made every frame effortless.
The wedding day unfolded at the stunning vineyards of Weingut Pongratz in Gamlitz, Austria, right on the border with my home country of Slovenia. The morning began with both the bride and groom getting ready, surrounded by family and friends. A light mist hung in the air, but despite forecasts of rain, the skies cleared, gifting us soft golden light and a breathtaking sunset. It was the perfect backdrop for timeless portraits among the rolling vines.
Anchi, with her Vietnamese heritage, and Tobias, originally from Germany, created a celebration that was both deeply personal and effortlessly elegant. Anchi really did a great job of planning her wedding and a lot of compliments were heard throught the day. Every detail was carefully thought through – from Polaroid displays of their travels through Croatia, Slovenia, Sardinia and more, to travel books, speeches, and joyful surprises. Guests were welcomed into a relaxed, emotional garden ceremony. Some of the most unforgettable moments included Anchi’s walk down the aisle with her father, Tobias’s emotional reaction, their heartfelt vows, and the joyful kiss cheered on by family and friends.
As the sun dipped behind the vineyards, the celebration continued with heartfelt toasts, golden hour portraits, and a lively dance party that carried on late into the night. Every laugh, every tear, and every detail reflected their story and their love.
