There’s a first time for anything. For Julia and Lester who flew from Singapore in Southeast Asia, this was their first time in Europe, first time seeing snow and their first time in a gondola and a two seater ski lift.
Hard to truly understand and grasp for us living in central Europe, but that’s how it is when you live in a tropical climate like Singapore and the nearest ski resort is an 8 hour flight away in either Japan or South Korea.
This was a pre wedding photoshoot with Italy Dolomites Wedding Photographer in South Tyrol, city Ortisei, valley called Val Gardena, which is quite famous for the Ski World Cup. From the valley, we headed to the Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm in German) gondola which took us to the largest high-altitude meadow in Europe. An absolutely wonderful sights all around.
After hiking Seiser Alm and taking some photos, we headed back to Val Gardena and headed for the mountain Seceda with another cable car. This took us to 2500m of elevation, spoiling us with an amazing view of the surrounding Dolomites mountain range and valleys.
The Italian Dolomites should be on every person’s bucket list, as it is just breathtaking. I slept the night and did a whole day of mountain biking in Canazei, Val di Fassa, which is about an hour south of Val Gardena. If you’re a climbing fanatic, Ortisei is a dream come true. One of the most perfect climbing mountains you can dream of. Same goes for skiing and hiking, obviously. Basically… if you like outdoor activities, the Italian Dolomites won’t disappoint you.
